Location: Salkum, just 13 miles east of I-5 on scenic Hwy 12.
Features: The Shepherd’s Inn is a 5,000 sq. ft. country inn, nestled among the trees with acres of seclusion and a view of the Cowlitz Valley. We offer five beautiful rooms with comfortable king, queen or twin beds and private or shared baths. A private double Jacuzzi tub is available.
The perfect hideaway to spend your days if you intend to visit Mt. Rainier or either side of Mt. St. Helens. For your trip to either mountain we provide maps and can help you with your plans.
We include a full breakfast featuring our famous Huckleberry crepes. If you have a special diet request, we’ll gladly try to accommodate your needs with advance notice.
The Shepherd’s Inn is non smoking, no pets and no alcohol. We are a member of the Washington Bed and Breakfast Guild and we’re AAA approved.

Nearby Attractions: Close to Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier. The well know DeGoede Bulb Farm is in nearby Mossyrock. Mayfield Lake and Riffe Lake are both major attractions of the area and Dog Mountain is a playground for hang gliders from around the world. The Cowlitz river has excellent fishing and is also the home of the worlds 2nd largest Salmon hatchery. Just 30 minutes away are the twin cities of Centralia and Chehalis which are fast becoming the antique capital of the Northwest. For died-hard shoppers, Centralia also has dozens of Factory Outlet Shops.
Rooms & Rates: $65 - $80 double occupancy; $60 - $75 single occupancy. Check in between 4:00 and 8:00 pm. Please advise if an earlier or later check in is needed. Check out by 11:30am, Monday to Saturday and by 10:00 am on Sunday. We accept cash, travelers checks, personal checks, American Express and Discover cards. Please give 24 hours notice of cancellation. Available year round.
